Now you know why white people hate history and having it explained with context.

here’s how i explain racism to white guys who never thought about it: on a tobacco plantation is a field full of black slaves, and one white guy getting paid 25 cents a day to sit on a horse with a big hat and a gun. and he keeps those slaves working for his 25 cents and his seat on the horse.

and inside the plantation house is another white man sitting in a cool comfortable chair, sipping lemonade, making a hundred dollars a day off that idiot sweating his ass off on a horse. because if he ever dropped the gun, if he walked off with the slaves…

but he never did. none of those overseers ever did. so that’s still going on today. if you’re white you’re still being handed a hat and a quarter and a gun. and the sun’s beating down on all of you out here in this fucking field growing poison for another man’s mansion.

and you’re never going to get to taste that lemonade.

do you put the gun down?

consider the sperm whale and the squid. an ancient rivalry that dates back millions of years. we know the whales eat the squids. we know the squids do not make it easy for them. we know this because of the scars the whales carry, scars on the outside of their body, and on the inside as well. how badly must you want something to endure wounds inside your mouth? inside your gut?

consider the whale, who is harmed by what sustains her. consider the squid, whose flesh is soft and delicious but refuses to go down easy.

This post is about lactose intolerance I can smell it.

PLEASE include people with tic disorders in your conversations about neurodivergency! They are so much more than just tics.

Tourette’s has so many overlapping symptoms with ADHD that many people go misdiagnosed with ADHD when they actually have a minor form of tourette’s. About 90% of those with tourettes also meet the criteria for ADHD.

Tourette’s is highly associated with OCD, which is also part of the neurodivergency umbrella.

Other parts of tourette’s that aren’t tics:

Sleep issues

Rage and impulse control

Sensory processing issues

Deficit of social skills and functioning

Learning disability

Anxiety

These are all parts of tourette’s but not everyone with tourettes experiences all of these. Many people with tic disorders may not even know they experience it and have been misdiagnosed with autism or ADHD. It is so vital to include tourette’s and provisional or persistent tic disorder in your posts about neurodivergency, so more people are aware of the impact it can have on people and see it as more than just the cussing disorder.

Please do not use this post to self diagnose do your own research if you must but if you have tics please see a neurologist.

“Where do I stand on the – on the WHAT? The “Transgender Question”? Well for one thing, sir, I recall the last few usages of that particular phraseology. A group of millions is not a question – I have not yet finished speaking – not a question, but a demographic.“

“The Romans had their castrated priestesses, the Hindus their Hijras, but my god, let us take to the barricades because Uncle Al came to Thanksgiving in a skirt and pantyhose! It’s the province of rubes. Hayseed reactionaries and the worst effluvia of America’s suburban colon.”

“And Chapelle! My god, Chapelle. Embarrassing as only a true great can become in his declining years – I speak here with complete self-awareness; kindly hold your barbs – as he tires of innovation and falls back into the soporific cushion of the lowest common denominator!”

“One joke stretched until you can hear its joints popping like some poor bastard broken on the rack. “Oh my car has pronouns, I identify as a bird, I’m trans-Chinese.” The laziness of it – shameful. You should see the transgendered roast themselves; there’s true scorched earth.“

Brilliant.

if anyone has trouble understanding this, remember when you worked retail/food service and your boss refused to hire enough people so you all had to take extra shifts on your days off, all while your friends couldn't get jobs if you still don't get it, you're probably management https://t.co/k92ezNnnF1 — Eric Ravenscraft (@LordRavenscraft) May 7, 2023ALT

Short-staffing has become a major problem in all sectors. Retail, food service, health care, education, factory production lines, call centers, child care, IT, office support staff, etc. Every corner of our society and economy.

Now we know that even in creative spaces employers are not willing to hire sufficient staff to accomplish necessary tasks, demand workers do more than their fair share of work, for longer hours, without fair compensation or reasonable breaks/time off.

This needs to stop.
